A Must Have book for all budding Ukulele Players

Hi Guys sorry for the delay, been away to recharge the batteries. First break for 6 years, now back to the grindstone.

This is a very worthwhile book for those just starting to play the Ukulele. First steps not to big, and you can do it at your own pace.
The CD is an amazing tool, because you can go back to as you wish in your own time. I first found this book in the local Library, but could only have it out for a week or so. I decided I needed my own copy and thanks to Amazon it was right at my finger tips. What more can I say than Absolutely Fabulous !!!

how can be a physics of NON-MATTER? The soul is Spiritual, not material, so laws of physics dose not apply to SOUL!

I did mistake by buying this book. I am studying spirituality for the last 4-5 years. I though the author may have given some logical explanation of soul in this book. It turned out 180 degrees opposite and he cites Sanatana Dharma scriptures in a wrong way. He does not KNOW Shrimad Bhagavad Gita ([...]) or Shrimad Bhagavat Mahapuran ([...]) so how can he cite is a proper perspective? I submitted a query on author's website and he has not cared to answer yet. This is another reason that he dose not know the subject well but misguiding mass of people by giving an attractive title, how can be a physics of NON-MATTER. The soul is Spiritual, not material, so laws of physics dose not apply to SOUL.

A very good plac read. I liked the way he explained step bhysicsy step how the transfer of the soul takes place, how quantum physics is involved..A little difficult ( for me) to grasp in a few places.However, I loved the information about our eternal existance."Food for the soul."

Physics of the Soul: The Quantum Book of Living, Dying, Reincarnation and Immortality I think it is a very good work by one of the scientists who appeared on the What The Bleep movies. I do think that the title - Physics of the Soul - is a bit ambitious. It implies a rigorous scientific investigation of the soul and how it work. The truth is more much eastern religion, some science. Having said that - it is interesting easy to read, informative and educational. Just not all that scientific.

I realize that to someone who has personally experienced it, any depiction of rape can be too graphic. But I am a reader with a very low tolerance for violence and for me personally this book was well inside the bounds of good taste and acceptability. I read it months ago, and remember the book fondly as one of the best I've read this year. I'm sure there is a scene in it that the one star reviewer is referring to, but I don't remember it, nor do I remember being offended at any violence in the book.

Entertaining murder mystery

A mystery with a young single female heroine Dana Mackenzie who works at a branch of a large faceless finance company. Unusual job, but she finds a dead customer when she goes out to visit one old couple about the payment for their 42 inch television. She gets involved with Nick Travis the detective on the case who is a old flame from high school who went with her best friend. Entertaining light read.

Being a huge fan do Dorothy Howell's Haley Randolph series, I naturally had to read Fatal Debt. It didn't disappoint. I snickered all the way through. The developing romance between Dana and Nick kept me reading to see what happened next. I look forward to more in this series.

Poor advice for women...

I'm a dating coach and found this book advising ways to 'get' a man that isn't compatible rather than helping women find a man that is right for her. This book teaches women to silence their values and compromise their healthy boundaries which goes against loving yourself. I agree with only a few of his advisements. The others cast the blame entirely on the women's 'mistakes' not owning that men need to put effort fourth in relationship too. The chapters on the type of commitment phobic men do have accurate 'excuses' of why these men fear commitment, but never address that these types of men are unhealthy choices for women wanting healthy relationships with good communication.
These books are for women chasing the 'ungetable' get... Think about the life you will have when you 'get' these challenging commitment phobic men. It will always be an uphill battle of forgoing your own wants and needs to not scare this man off, a fantasy connection. Look for better men instead of warping yourself to unhealthy ones who can never give you what you want or are incapable of that capacity.
There are better books, keep searching ladies.

An advice book that does not leave out the details

I picked this up on a whim. I think most guys are curious when they see strategy books for women on getting guys. Most of the time we don't really want to admit we find the subject interesting; I'm past that and I have no problems admitting it.

I find the whole dating game really fascinating from both sides of the equation. I've checked out other female strategy for getting guys and I've always been a bit let down by the lack of details.

Sure it's OK to say play hard to get and all of that but what else? I mean a lot of those books seem to be saying stuff you could pick up anywhere for free.

What I liked about this book was that I really felt that the author was relying on his own experiences or those he knew well. It felt more like I was talking to a wise friend who had lived it and was just relating his carefully considered views.

I came away with a pretty good feeling about the way women could use this info to get closer to the guy they're interested in. I know I would have reacted in a pretty well similar way to some of the mistakes girls were making in the book. I also realize that the kind of things he was recommending women do to get closer to guys would have worked on me. I guess it does come down to genuine mutual feeling in the end but sometimes women make mistakes that leave them wondering what they could have done different to make it work.

I think this guy would be worth listening to. He seems like he has lived it and from one guy to another, I really do think he's on the right track with the advice he offers

Great Gift for Any Internationalist or Would-Be Internationalist

Applewood Books has produced here a fascinating and useful comparison to and contrast with their uniform editions of The Declaration of Independence with Short Biographies of Its Signers, The Constitution of the United States of America, which is also available from them in Spanish Constitucion de Los Estados Unidos, and especially The Bill of Rights with Writings That Formed Its Foundation. This little book contains the text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Preamble and the 31 Articles, in English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Russian, and Arabic. (Each translation takes up 8 or 9 pages.)

While it would be difficult to criticize the first 21 articles, Articles 22 on stray into the dangerous area of "positive rights", which unless consciously and knowingly agreed to ahead of time, amount to a "right" to pick someone else's pocket or take away someone else's rights. Of course like so many of the nobler ideals of the United Nations, they've been honored more in the breach than in the observance; the only nations making any serious attempts to abide by them being of course those free and democratic nations whose citizens already possess similar rights under their own laws and constitutions. Still, even with the necessary caveats against the last 9 articles, it contains ideals worth striving for, assuming such efforts are directed against the "less free" countries rather than the "more free" countries.

I got this as a graduation present for a friend who likes foreign politics and has the name Eleanor. The synthetic leather looks convincing and real. The paper quality was nice. This is a pretty small book, but could be displayed proudly to display one's appreciation for decent human treatment.

About the Author
Research and teaching interests involve financial and managerial accounting. He and Professor Ross L. Watts received American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Awards in 1979 and 1980 for their joint papers. He received the American Accounting Association award for Seminal Contribution to Accounting Literature in 2004. He was the 1978 winner of the Competitive Manuscript Award, sponsored by the American Accounting Association, for his paper, "The Costs and Benefits of Cost Allocation." His research, which has come to be called "positive theories of accounting," seeks to understand the costs and benefits of various accounting procedures. He and Watts co-authored a book, Positive Accounting Theory, published by Prentice-Hall in 1986.

Research and teaching interests in the economics of organizations, corporate governance and compensation policy, corporate finance, franchising and banking. From 1989 to 1991, he was chairman of the Finance Department and research director at he University of Utah's Garn Institute of Finance. Professor Brickley was chairman of he Committee on MBA Programs from 1994-1997.

I did not find this book useful for me as I have had no prior economics ...

My Economics professor assigned this book for his course. I did not find this book useful for me as I have had no prior economics education prior to this MBA course. The graphs and equations were less than helpful, the book read more like a novel than an instructional textbook to help me learn. I ended up purchasing additional economics books and watching YouTube videos to understand the concepts from this textbook.

Not best textbook

Book acted more like a novel book in my opinion. The text book was confusing and hard to follow. It did offer great examples and relate to current and popular companies which helps to retain and relate information. Overall didn't feel it as as effective as other textbooks I've read in the past
