Average book, below average simulator

To start with, let me say the book is a very average 'ok' and it does have some editing issues. But you cannot obtain your CCNA just by reading this book or any book for that matter. You need to understand the terms through practicing on a simulator and through test banks. You will get some test banks with cd one - which I did find useful. But a Titanium-edition simulator was not included with this so-called Deluxe edition book. You get the lesser Platinum version which is found on the second cd. Many of the latter book lessons cannot be practiced in the simulator and many Cisco commands are not functional. You will have to buy the Virtual Lab Platinum 2.0 version (average retail $150) to get reasonable simulator access to the lessons and functionality. I would recommend other venues, other authors - or additional sources to support a purchase of this particular product. Good luck on your CCNA!

I got this book because it is required for a class that I am taking at a local college. The way the item was packaged cause the corners to bend a little. The CD's that came with the book also work.

I would recommend this book to anyone that is starting out new on learning Cisco Certified Network Associate and getting the certification for it.
