I bought this book because my daughter's councellor recommended she read it.
As a person who has suffered from severe depression myself I found it very enlightening.
The essential information is simply delivered. It is easy to get the big picture with its individual components. It is very cleverly woven into the Wind in the Willows story so that the information is delivered in context. I would recommend this book to a recovering depressive and anyone supporting a person struggling with depression.Excellent

very readable

I found the book very readable. I would have liked to have been told that it was using the Transactional Analysis method (mainly?), before reading it. Maybe it was on the cover of the printed version. I bought the e-book. I'd recommend it to anyone generally interested in the topic of counselling.
